OUR STORY

Our Story Begins With a Community That Cares

The Chisholm Trail 100 Club was founded in 2010 when citizens of Johnson County, Texas, came together to create a nonprofit dedicated to supporting local emergency personnel. What started as a grassroots idea quickly spread through both business and private communities — built on one simple belief: when tragedy strikes, we stand behind our heroes.

Our organization provides financial and emotional assistance to the families of law enforcement officers, firefighters, and EMS responders injured or killed in the line of duty. Whether the need is immediate relief, professional guidance, or ongoing support, the Chisholm Trail 100 Club is there to help.

OUR ROOTS — THE FIRST 100 CLUB

A Tradition Born From Compassion

The first “100 Club” began in Detroit, Michigan, in 1952, when a local businessman, William Packer, was moved to action after a police officer was killed in the line of duty. He reached out to 100 friends, asking each to contribute to a fund for the fallen officer’s family. Their generosity paid off the family’s mortgage, covered their bills, and even secured an education fund for the officer’s unborn child.

From that act of kindness grew a movement that now spans 100 Clubs across the nation — each with the same mission: to support those who risk their lives to protect others.
